Charity begins at home….
As a family business with a strong presence in Wirral for over 30 years, investing in our local community is something we feel strongly about. CLM has provided the structural steelwork on some large and complicated local developments… but sometimes it is the smaller projects that really bring smiles to our faces!
This October half-term, the students at Brackenwood Infant School in Bebington were treated to a brand new bike shelter, courtesy of CLM. This installation was made that bit more special when one of the next generations of CLM workers came to help. 5-year old Will, who is a pupil at Brackenwood Infants and the son of CLM Project Manager Matt, helped with the measuring up, demonstrating you are never too young to start learning the tricks of the trade!
A special thanks goes to some local businesses who supported the project, including media firm Black One Sugar Ltd who donated the polycarbonate cover and Wedge Merseyside Galvanizing Ltd who galvanised the shelter, all free of charge.
The new shelter will provide a secure storage place to keep the children’s bikes protected from the elements and hopefully will encourage more children to ride their bikes into school, benefitting their health and the environment – we think that can only be a good thing!
